Queensland Pool Barrier Requirements — Key Standards
- Pool fence minimum height: 1200mm measured on the outside
- Non-climbable zone: 900mm clear on the outside of the fence
- Maximum gap between fence rails or palings: 100mm
- Gates must be self-closing and self-latching
- Gate latch must be on the pool side and at least 1500mm from ground (or within a protected enclosure)
- CPR sign must be clearly displayed in the pool area
