What Does a Brisbane Pool Fence Inspection Cover?
A pool fence inspection — formally known as a pool barrier inspection — is a systematic check of your entire pool barrier against the requirements of Australian Standard AS1926 and the Queensland Development Code. Our licensed inspector examines:
- Fence height — minimum 1200mm from ground level measured on the outside
- Non-climbable zone (NCZ) — 900mm clear zone on the outside of the fence with no footholds or handholds
- Gate hardware — self-closing and self-latching mechanisms, latch height and operation
- Fence structural integrity — no gaps, holes, loose panels or damaged sections exceeding 100mm
- Pool signage — CPR sign displayed in the correct location
- Windows and doors — any openings within the pool barrier zone
- Vegetation and climbable objects — trees, chairs, pots or structures within the NCZ
Common Pool Fence Issues in Brisbane
